Kid Kare (After-school Care Services)

This program is available to students attending Westside Christian Academy, from Pre-K through 8th grade. You can sign up for afterschool care by clicking the button at the bottom of this screen or in person in the Main Office.

Meet Noricka Greyer (our primary Kid Kare coordinator)

Noricka has over 25 years of Program/Engagement/Project Management experience, including three-years of Marketing and Sales experience. She has a proven history of managing large-scale digital and global automotive projects. She does freelance writing and develops of marketing materials for various non-profit organizations. Her formal education is in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a B.S. from Wayne State University. Noricka served as Co-Chair of a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging team to identify and disrupt systemic inequitable patterns to foster cultural belonging. She has a love for non-profit and faith-based organizations and volunteers throughout the metropolitan Detroit area. Her greatest joy and life gift is being a mom to daughter Cherise (Hampton University graduate) and GlamMom to her daughter’s red Labradoodle, Zoe. Noricka gave her life to Christ at an early age and hasremained faithfully connected as a servant in God’s kingdom. She loves gospel music, reading the bible, participating in praise and worship, and actively engaging in prayer. Noricka is a three-time breast cancer survivor. In all aspects of her life, she is the ultimate organizer, crafter, interior decorator and DIYer. Her retirement goal is to own a Craft Shop and woodworking has become her new hobby. ​
 
Program Details
Days: Monday to Friday (when WCA is in session)
After-School Program: Begins at the end of the school day (3:00 p.m.) and ends at 5:30 p.m. 

The program is only available on days when students are in attendance. It is not available on holidays, vacation days, or days when the school building is closed (e.g., snow days, emergencies).

If Kid Kare must cancel, parents will be notified ASAP.

Fees and Payments
A one-time registration fee of $40.00 per family is required each school year.
Payment for the upcoming week is due by the Friday before services are needed.
All students picked up after 5:30 p.m. are subject to late fees. A late fee of $1.00 per minute may be charged starting from 5:30 p.m. The Kid Kare clock serves as the official time.

Kid Kare Policies and Procedures
 
  • A Kid Kare application must be approved for your child to receive services. If your application is approved, you’ll receive a notification via Adobe Sign. Please be aware that the $40 registration fee will be due within 48 hours to secure your slot. 
  • A $40 registration fee (per family) must be paid (Zelle preferred sarah.patterson@westsideca.org) before students can attend Kid Kare.
  • Late pickups may incur a fee of $1.00 per minute.
  • Students with past due balances (including fees) cannot attend Kid Kare until the balance is paid in full.
  • Applications require 24 to 48 hours to be processed. Students cannot attend Kid Kare until the application is processed.
  • Drop-in services are not offered.
  • If there are changes to a student’s Kid Kare attendance, please inform us by sending a Remind by 1:00 p.m. (@warrKK) or Phone (313-255-5760).
  • ​Please update the Office Manager or Campus Principal with any changes to your contact information.
  • Students that do not follow the rules outlined in the Parent and Student Handbook may be withdrawn from Kid Kare services.​​
